Gates that need to be lockedThe following gates MUST to be locked when you are the last person to leave the grounds: • the double gates • the white gate that is close to the equipment shed. This one protects all our equipment that is stored in the sheds. • the junior yard gate • the white gate that opens into the cross country (near the new horse wash area) • the toilet gates. Riders (under 18 years) must be accompanied by an adult or friend when using the cross-country or showjumping. Parents of financial members can ride at the grounds as long as they have insurance with either HRCAV or EFA. For riders from other Pony Clubs who wish to train at our grounds, the club has an application form for use of our grounds. The cost is $20 per rider, they must have an instructor with them and the minimum cost is $100 (or five riders). To apply for this access they contact Karen Kerr on 9717-3709.

USE OF THE YHPC GROUNDS OUTSIDE RALLIESFinancial members can use the grounds at any time except for: • The second Saturday in the month. This is the day when the Yarrambat Adult Riding Club (YARC) uses the ground. • When there is a competition run by either our club or YARC • Before 10.30am on any day, the inside of the track (the sand arena) should not be used. Note: no vehicle can cross the track at any time. The tyre marks are very dangerous for some of the younger trotting horses. They try to jump them. Riders must not ride on the trotting track. Keys for the grounds, to open gates on non-rally days, can be obtained from the Uniform Coordinator for a deposit of $50.00. The key must be returned when members leave the club.

USE OF THE TROTTER’S AREA (INCLUDING INSIDE THE TRACK)There are a few rules that we wish to remind you of when using the area near the trotting club sheds and inside the track: • The wash area is not meant to be used by club members but if it is used please always remove any manure. • Members can use the gravel area in front of the sheds, as long as you do not block access to the yards. Again please pick up any manure and put it in the small manure shed. • No vehicle should cross the track unless it is there to set up equipment. This rule is in place because the tyre tracks in the sand in particular when it rains can cause young trotting horses to jump the tracks. This is very dangerous for horse and driver. • Club members are not to use the inside of the track before 10.30am every day unless they have approval from the trotting club. I know that sometimes these rules can be a pain but we are very lucky to share facilities with the Trotting Club and so it would be great if members could remember these rules when using this area. Thanks.
